Yanti has been working at Silverleigh since June 2019 and has been the Registered Manager at Silverleigh since July 2022, before that, Yanti was the Deputy Manager.
With many years of experience within the Care sector, Yanti’s roles have included Deputy Head of Care and a Senior Care Assistant.
Previously Yanti has worked for the NHS and as a Substance Abuse Professional in the Health sector for families including children.
Having had experience in several roles within Health and Social Care Yanti wanted to progress and develop my skills in a larger nursing home.
You will see Yanti around the home with a big friendly smile, supporting all staff and residents with the day-to-day requirements of our home.
Vicki is one of the deputy managers and has worked at Silverleigh since 2008.
Silverleigh is a lively community environment where every day presents new challenges, but each challenge is an opportunity for Vicki to gain new knowledge to better support our residents, relatives and staff.
Sandya has worked at Silverleigh since 2007 and is one of the Deputy Managers at the home.
Working closely with the senior care team as well as the nursing team and local health professionals to ensure that we are always delivering excellent person-centred care and providing a safe, homely environment for our residents.
Sandya likes to nurture a happy and fulfilling environment whilst also making time for residents and their families if they want to discuss anything, need a sympathetic ear, or just a hug.
Lauren is the head of care at Silverleigh and has worked here for many years and has a wealth of knowledge about our residents and the working practices at Silverleigh.
Lauren is passionate about ensuring that we provide excellent person-centred care for each of our residents and building good relationships with families and professionals.
Anand is the clinical lead nurse at Silverleigh and has worked at Silverleigh since 2015. Anand has 40 years of experience in various fields, including medical, surgical, orthopaedic, A&E, paediatrics, theatre and the community.
Anand is a compassionate, trustworthy and approachable nurse who remains calm in an emergency. And is committed to delivering the highest quality of nursing care to our residents and leading the team of nurses in attaining this.
Meet Shellie, one of our Administrators at Silverleigh Care Home, and has been working at Silverleigh since early 2020.
Previously working in a large Hotel for many years as the Head Receptionist, Shellie is used to assisting people with a wide range of enquiries and is always happy to help residents, staff and relatives.
Shellie likes to be organised and accurate in her work and, alongside Vicki, manages the personnel and financial administration and staff payroll.
Lesley joined the Silverleigh team as an Administrator, working alongside Shellie, in the Summer of 2023.
Lesley previously spent 15 years working as a PA to Directors in Public Transport and has good experience in office administration, dealing with enquiries and assisting people.
This role and work environment was a different challenge which Lesley has found to be very satisfying. Lesley enjoys helping both colleagues and residents and always aims to give her best and get things done accurately.
Charlie is the head chef at Silverleigh and has worked here since March 2021. Charlie is passionate about using good quality, fresh produce from local companies to create a range of tempting meals for all tastes, preferences and needs.
Charlie has a team of staff who assist him in ensuring a high standard of food, presentation and cleanliness.
Julie is the housekeeper at Silverleigh and has worked here since 2004. Leading a team of domestic and laundry staff in ensuring the rooms and communal areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, as well as overseeing the washing, ironing and returning of residents’ clothing, bed linen and towels.
Julie’s team take great pride in what they do. And her own role is varied and diverse, where from time to time, she will take the residents out for a trip in the Silverleigh minibus. Often taking residents to appointments which can vary from the dentist to minor surgery!
Meet Edwin, whose role is coordinating activities for the residents at Silverleigh Care Home.
He’s worked for the organisation for over 10 years and finds it extremely rewarding being part of an establishment that enables people to continue their last stage of life with joy and support, providing a daily structure and making life meaningful through the activities that we offer. One of Silverleigh’s aims is that residents are respected and treated with dignity, accepted as they are, and loved in a homely atmosphere.
Our committed and dedicated activities team provides meaningful and stimulating daily activities. We support our residents with their orientation in time and place and stay connected with the seasons and current affairs. Individual activities are primarily person-centred and tailored to people’s hobbies, occupations, and musical preferences. We offer a wide range of activities and the chief objective of all our work is to ensure our residents have a high quality of life with joy and dignity.
Armand has worked within Care Homes since 2006 and is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the building and garden, assisted by Trevor and Clive, the other maintenance assistants.
Armand is also the Health and Safety representative, as well as carrying out small appliance testing and plumbing repair works in the home, assisting with the compliance of servicing and repairs of equipment and lifts, and general maintenance and safety of the home.
He has also recently undertaken a qualification in IET Wiring Regulations which enables him to carry out electrical repair works.
