Silverleigh’s Summer Party, A Day to Remember!

What an incredible day we had at Silverleigh Care Home for our summer party! The sun shone brightly on a celebration filled with laughter, music and the wonderful spirit of togetherness. It was a day that reminded us all of the happiness that comes from community, compassion and shared experiences.

Celebrating for a Great Cause

This year’s event was extra special as we joined forces to raise funds for Make-A-Wish UK, helping to bring smiles and life-changing experiences to children with critical illnesses. Thanks to the generosity of our residents, families, staff and visitors, we were able to make a meaningful contribution to this incredible charity. Your kindness and support mean the world to us, thank you!

An Afternoon of Fun and Friendship

From the very first note of music to the last slice of cake, the day was packed with smiles and unforgettable moments. There was dancing and singing aplenty, with residents and guests joining in the fun on the dance floor and around the tables. Delicious food and refreshing drinks kept everyone energised and the atmosphere was nothing short of electric.

Special Guests and Heartfelt Thanks

We were honoured to welcome members of the Royal British Legion, Axminster Branch, as well as our friends from The Check House Care Home, who helped make the day even more vibrant and full of life. A huge thank you also goes to the incredibly talented Mawgan Stott, whose stunning performance brought so much enjoyment to us all. Mawgan’s voice filled the garden with music, creating moments that will stay with us for a long time.

As the sun set on our celebrations, one thing was clear: our summer party wasn’t just an event, it was a beautiful reminder of the warmth and strength of the Silverleigh community. Here’s to many more days like this, where friendship, laughter and care take centre stage.
